Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of tutoring services by London Learners. By booking lessons through London Learners, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Booking Lessons

  • All lesson bookings are subject to tutor availability.
  • Lessons may be delivered online or in person, as agreed between the tutor and the student.
  • Lesson duration, frequency and subject content will be agreed prior to the commencement of tuition.

Payment

  • All lessons must be paid for in full before the scheduled lesson takes place.
  • London Learners reserves the right to cancel or postpone any lesson for which payment has not been received.
  • Payments must be made using one of the payment methods accepted by London Learners.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • If you wish to cancel or reschedule a lesson, you must provide at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled lesson time.
  • Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the lesson will receive a full refund or may be rescheduled at no additional cost.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson will incur a cancellation charge up to 50% of the lesson fee. The remaining 50% will be refunded or credited towards a future lesson, at the discretion of London Learners.
  • Failure to attend a lesson without prior notice ("no-show") may result in the full lesson fee being charged.
  • If a tutor is unable to attend a scheduled lesson, London Learners will offer either a full refund or an alternative lesson at a mutually convenient time.

Tutor Allocation

  • London Learners carefully selects and vets its tutors to maintain high teaching standards.
  • While every effort will be made to match students with a suitable tutor, London Learners cannot guarantee that a particular tutor will remain available indefinitely.
  • If a tutor becomes unavailable, London Learners will endeavour to provide a suitable replacement.

Introductory Consultation

  • Where offered, introductory consultations are provided to allow families to discuss their educational needs and determine whether the tutor is a suitable fit.
  • Introductory consultations do not oblige either party to proceed with further tuition.

Student Responsibilities

Students are expected to:

  • Attend lessons punctually.
  • Have the necessary equipment and materials available.
  • Participate respectfully throughout each lesson.
  • Complete agreed independent work where appropriate.

Parent or Guardian Responsibilities

Parents or guardians are responsible for:

  • Ensuring payment is made before lessons commence.
  • Providing accurate contact information.
  • Informing London Learners of any relevant educational needs or circumstances that may affect tuition.

Educational Outcomes

  • London Learners is committed to providing high-quality tuition delivered by experienced and carefully selected tutors. However, academic progress depends on many factors, including attendance, independent study, student engagement and school support. As such, London Learners cannot guarantee specific examination results.

Safeguarding

  • London Learners is committed to providing a safe, respectful and professional learning environment. Tutors are expected to uphold high standards of professional conduct and safeguarding at all times.

Privacy

  • Any personal information collected will be used solely for the administration and delivery of tutoring services and will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, London Learners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the provision of tutoring services.

Changes to these Terms

  • London Learners reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be made available to clients before future bookings.
